A impact of mutual coldness inward the spill night
خزاں کی رات میں سردی کا اِحساس
I walked abroad میں باہر گھوم رہا تھا
And saw the ruddy satelite thin over a hedge میں نے سُرخ چہرے والے چاند کو ایک باڑ پر جُھکے دیکھا
Like a red-faced farmer. جیسا کہ سُرخ چہرے والا کسان ہو
I did non terminate to speak,but nodded, میں بات کرنے کے لیے نہ رُکا،بس اپنا سر ہِلا دیا
And circular almost were the wistful stars اور اُس چاند کے گِرد حسرت بھرے ستارے تھے
Withe white faces similar town children. ایسے جیسے دیہات میں غریب بچوں کے جذبات سے عاری چہرے ہوتے ہیں

The fog comes
دُھند آتی ہے
On piffling truthful cat feet. بِلی کی طرح دبے پاؤں
It sits looking پھر یہ بیٹھ جاتی ہے
Over the harbour too city بندر گاہ اور شہر پر
On the silent haunches جیسے بِلی اپنی پچھلی ٹانگوں پر بیٹھتی ہے
And too thence moves on. اور پھر آگے بڑھ جاتی ہے
